The ‘Great Place to Work®’ Certification gives global recognition to organizations (government, academics and businesses) and is considered as the benchmark that sets apart an organization from its competitors. Every year, the Great Place to Work® receives partnership offers from over 10000 organizations from more than 60 countries. But only a few make it through its selection process owing to its rigorous methodology which includes thorough assessments, surveys and audits to pick the best companies to work for. In addition, the Great Place to Work® certification also helps companies to improve their workplace environment through strategies, plans and actions.
The assessment takes place in two parts – the first is the Trust Index© survey instrument that is done to measure the quality of the employees experience through their anonymous feedback. The second one is known as Culture Audit© that evaluates and analyzes the standard practices of the organization including the employee life cycle. The first assessment analysis carries 75% weightage while the second one carries 25%.
The best part of the certification is that it is free from any external influence and is based completely on the feedback of the employees and the quality of its practices. Furthermore, it also involves culture which encloses a list of parameters like their behaviour, care and belief.
No jury or individual has the power to impact the ranking in the scoreboard in any way. Perhaps that’s the reason why every organization vouches for its certification but only a few manage to get through it.
