Its operations depended on three primary service types:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Schedule Service<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reactive Service<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Delivery Service<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each involved its own rules, approvals, scheduling activities, office processes, and on-site work.<br>The technology challenge was therefore not simply to create a newer application.<br>The system had to reflect how the business actually operated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Existing System<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The client already had a system in place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The problem was that the system was becoming difficult to use and did not provide the operational visibility the business needed. It also needed geolocation and geofencing capabilities, automated notifications, and reminders for pending work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The important point is that none of these requirements existed in isolation. They formed a connected operating workflow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, better field tracking depended on mobile capabilities. Mobile workflows depended on accurate customer and pool information. That information was connected to Zoho. Quality assurance depended on automated work-order selection. The team spent three days with the client, approximately 12 hours per day, studying the back office and existing system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They also visited six pool sites to observe how services were actually delivered. That distinction matters in legacy modernization. Documentation tells you what a system is supposed to do. Observation can reveal what the business actually does.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Process Breakdown<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The existing processes were broken into smaller units to understand user journeys and identify opportunities for simplification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Flowcharts were used to define entities, actions, consequences, and functional requirements.<br>The team maintained iterative communication with the client throughout this stage to validate the direction before development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Prototyping<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">User experience was one of the client\u2019s major concerns.
