QA Lead

Education: BCA / B.E./ MCA / M.Tech / Equivalent

Job Description :

Analyzes business and functional requirements and/or design specifications, translates them into test cases, and develops detailed test plans utilizing knowledge of the functional application
Develops, executes, and maintains test cases for functional, regression and performance tests
Identify defects and work with the development team to manage defects until resolved
Prepares testing reports, analyses and recommendations
Allocates tasks, communicates project status, participates in client facing meetings
Report progress of software testing in accordance with schedules to PM
Supports the Deployment, Operations and Sales teams
Ensures testing standards are met and conducting reviews
Make recommendations for improvement of software testing standards and processes
Operates under minimal supervision
Works closely with onsite managers in resolving issues and risks identified related to offshore project, in a timely manner
Manages daily/weekly handoff progress and communication documents

Desired Profile :

Minimum of 6 years relevant work experience within software & Web application testing
Previous hands on test planning and execution experience
Experience in using Software Automation Tools – Quick Test Professional, Load Runner, Win Runner
Experience in working with Configuration/Change Management Tools – Perforce, Rational ClearQuest, VSS is desired
Exposure of experience in testing SOA based on demand solutions is desirable
Exposure or experience with global software development centers is an added advantage
Experience running large and medium global projects is a plus
