WQC 2010 (World Quality Commitment) International Star Award

It involves the participation of 173 countries. It is currently the most important private organization in the world presenting a quality award on the basis of principles as solid as those of the Deming (Japan), the Baldrige (U.S.) or the EFQM (Europe). It is related with companies in different countries whose products and services help position them as pioneers in innovation, technology, training and installations.

The WQC International Star Award by BID, is presented to each company as a whole, for corporate accomplishment in quality and excellence within one or several of the following concepts - Customer Satisfaction, Communication Strategies, Benchmarking, Information and Data Analysis, Leadership, Planning and Decision-making, Human Resources, Continuing Education and Training, Processes and Production, Business Results, ISO 9000 and TQM.

BID follows a three tier transparent voting process which comprises of - voting by the B.I.D. council, votes from companies previously awarded, contacts with participating voters by phone, fax, email and post, and public voting carried out through the on-line poll. Information obtained corresponds to external actions and evaluations rather than an internal audit.

The winners are adjudged on the grounds of - excellence in leadership, business management, quality, excellence, business, brand name prestige, technology, innovation and expansion. The awards are presented in three categories which are Gold, Platinum and Diamond. We were awarded with the Gold award this year.
